For parent/s or caregiver/s wishing to bond & develop a secure attachment with their baby. Infant massage classes are from birth to 12 months of age, however, stroke techniques can can be adapted to massage your growing child & their siblings. There are many positives associated with infant massage, it is a tool that can be used for:   

Relief of colic, gas, constipation, teething

Relaxation and improved sleep patterns, help decrease stress hormones & may decrease postnatal depression

Interaction enjoyable one on one time, socialization for mum and baby. Assist connection, attunement to baby cues, increase baby & parent confidence, Imitation, pre-language & verbal/non verbal communication. 

Stimulation of body systems including circulatory, digestive, hormonal,         immune, lymphatic, respiratory, nervous (brain development), proprioceptive (position & motion) and vestibular (coordination & balance). 
    
Infant massage sessions can be arranged with Dani the Midwife as a one-on-one private session or as group sessions, held over a 5-week block.
60-90 minutes in duration.
                         
 

Please Note: Medicare rebates do not apply to Infant Massage sessions. Depending on your private health cover, a rebate can be claimed, if sessions are completed by the time your baby is 12 weeks old.

Yes! Payment plans can be arranged with Dani the Midwife for Pregnancy and
Postnatal packages.
  



If you have pregnancy and postnatal cover, yes Infant massage can be claimed
as a postnatal education course. Depending on your Private Health Insurance, the
5 week block course needs to be completed by the time your baby is 12 weeks old.
If attending weekly sessions over 5 weeks is not manageable, Infant Massage can
also be claimed as a one-on-one private education session.  




Absolutely! What a fantastic way to celebrate and support the new mother!
Dani the Midwife has a range of Gift Vouchers for Pregnancy Care, Postpartum
support or Infant Massage. Vouchers for Pregnancy Education Sessions can also
be purchased or contributions made towards gift vouchers and services run by
Dani the Midwife. Unfortunately, Medicare rebates can not be claimed when
redeeming a gift voucher.
